We returned to the hotel about 12:30 on Thursday. After my roommates left, I took a bath a soaked my feet. I finally made it back to Delaware about 4:15. A wonderful friend of mine cooked Thanksgiving dinner, and afterwards, I soaked my numb body in their hot tub. My muscles definitely needed it. We tried to watch a movie, but I fell asleep on the couch. After three days of marching, and only three hours sleep the night before, I was exhausted.

Friday I woke up at home still stiff, and sore, and painful, but exuberantly happy. I am so thrilled that I had this wonderful opportunity, and proud that I marched it as well as I did. Do I miss the drama of high school guard? No, I don’t. Am I thankful that my Thanksgiving Day turned out as it did? Yes, yes I am.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
