North America | United States of America (USA) | The American Rockies | Colorado – Thanksgiving in Colorado with the family
After returning from Paris to Santa Barbara for only a few days to catch my breath and repack my suitcase with winter clothes, I headed off to Denver, Colorado to see my family for 2 weeks. It’s been a year since my last visit here. Culture shock is returning back to the US. Even greater culture shock is spending time with family in Colorado and getting thrown into the middle of the unearthed “issues” 9 months of traveling tends to bring ups. Damn all that time sitting on buses and trains thinking about things, being stripped away of everything.
With that said, adjusting to being back is happening on its own accord, if anything, I was so ready to come home Im excited to be around familiar faces again. Im very much wanting to be rooted again somewhere. Where I will end up, I honestly have zero clue at this point. I didnt realize it was possible to travel enough to the point where one would actually get tired of traveling. I have hit that mark.
Hanging out on the couch watching movies, cooking in the kitchen with my stepmom, seeing my nephews, power walking in the hills, it is all so wonderful to be home again. I have no complaints.
