note: Katharina’s writing is in German…

2:55AM
Oh my goodness. This is quite a moment. I bought this new computer today, and it is working really well. It is an old school Dell Inspiron 3800. I’m having a really hard time believing that it is this easy. I turned it on, installed some software, and wha-la! Working! I’ve been trying for who knows how many days now to buy that Apple Powerbook, to no avail. After finally deciding not to get a Powerbook, everything went very smoothly. I’m in a hostel right now with Katharina. We rode down together from Austin. I will talk about this wonderful laptop a little more later. For now, I should write a little bit about her, because she is right here with me. I would feel a little rude not writing about her, because, well, I want to write, but I also want to talk with her, so I figured that if I started writing about her, I would be doing both at the same time. So what do you think, Katharina? I’m going to let her catch up to that while I continue writing. Her and I hung out today. It was pretty cool. We left the Austin hostel and went to Mister Notebook to…
OK, there she is. She caught up.
So Miss Katharina, what do you think about this whole writing of a letter thing? Don’t laugh, answer me!
You bitch! Here I thought she was writing something, and here it is all this German gibberish. Ziemlich cool. What is that all about? We had a crazy day today. After driving all day. Dude. Katharina is here asking me what Ziemlich means?! She wrote it. She thinks that I might understand German. Should I play along with it? And pretend like I don’t. Hahaha. So I did this crazy thing today. I took Katharina out to a dancer bar. It was really quite fun. She said that she had a great time. I bought her a lap dance from what I thought to be the cutest girl in the place. I told her to pick one out, but she wouldn’t. It was kind of sexy. I kept trying not to watch, because I was thinking it was making her nervous, but I couldn’t. I kept sneaking peaks. I don’t know if she liked it or not. I guess she will tell me. But she will probably tell me in German…
More rubbish that I can’t understand. Sexy. She says it isn’t rubbish at all. I don’t know if I can believe her. I guess I will. I guess she talked a little about the dancer bar and her lap dance. I’m sure she complained a little bit about my new computer. She was cursing it, and this American QWERTY keyboard the whole time.
Katharina has very straight teeth. It is almost intimidating. They are very white, and each and every tooth is right in it’s place. Not one is too high or too low, or the least bit crooked. There was never a german boy who told me that but lots of American boys. Why?!?!?! Is it because it is not important in Germany?!?! Because we have a better teeth insurance so everybody has perfect teeth anyway?!?!
Ok, I have two things to say about that. First, are you saying that I am just so common of an American boy, that I say all the silly things that all the other boys say? Secondly, I have to pee so bad that I can’t finish this. Hold on…
Yeah, maybe you are just a common American boy but it is hard for me to say it because I have been here just for a very short time, i.e. I do not know anything about American behavior.
All right. I will give you that I am common American kid. That is just fine. However, this whole thing with Germany’s dental health care system, and America’s. That has got to end. I’m not going to teach you any more of the wonders of American behavior until you say you are sorry.
I don’t know why I should be sorry because I just wrote the facts. tschüss und ciao.
