My it has been a long time since I last wrote…So we left New Zealand on the 1st of May after having a very good time our last few days. We managed to sell the car for $400 to two German girls…It was quite a hassel, not the changing of ownership, but just the bother of selling it. But it all worked out in the end..
OUr last night in Auckland was a huge night becasue it was our last night in New Zealand and one of our friends Kyla came into town that night so we were really excited to meet up again…Bad choice… the next day we both woke up with the worst hangovers ever and spent the whole day in pain…Especially when it came time to get on the plane…it was aweful! I’ve never been motion sick before, so this was a first. A word of advice for any traveler, DON’T DRINK THE NIGHT BEFORE!! But we survived surprisingly….It was the longest plane ride ever…We flew from New Zealand to Sydney (5 hours) then had to stay in Sydney for about 3 hours then got on a plane and flew to Tokyo (10 hours). We were meant to stay inTokyo a night which would have been aweful as we would have had to spend the night in the airport, but we lucked out and got to leave that day and only ended up waiting in the airport for about 3 hours. We then boarded our last plane and endured the longest flight of all to London (15 hours)…So we basically lost 2 days of our life sitting on plane after plane. But i really can;t complain as a new adventure was in store…
We arrived safely into London where we were met by Annas grandparents. We spent the next 4 days relaxing at their home, Netherfield in Kent. They have a beautiful old English style home with a beautiful garden which her grandad had us work in, a nice way to say thank you…Then after that we headed to Anna’s aunt Tink’s house about 1 hour away where we spent the next 2 days hangingout with her and her husband, Mark and their two children Izzy (12)and Rich (9). We jumped on their trampeline and took the dog on walks, it was all very nice…Both Tinks and the grandparents live in rather remote places so theres nice country lanes to walk down and get a bit of excerise and fresh air. Now we are in Guilford where we are staying with Anna’s Uncle and his family consisting of her uncle, Ab his wife Jeanie and their children Joe (23) and Tom (17) (they have another child Guy who is away at Uni). We’ve been having an amazing time Joe has been really wonderful in showing us around and introducing us to her friends which is really nice…Tom is studying for his exams so we havent seen too much of him…Other than that we’ve just been hangingout walking into town…Anna’s been looking for a job. One day we went into London and went to the Tate Modern Museum which was interesting, they had some really cool pieces..and then we jsut walked around and explored London a bit by foot and undergroud (subway)….But the weather hasnt been that nice, not very sunny but thats expected as its not quite their summer yet…However today has been a lovely day so i cant complain!! Yesterday was Anna’s birthday which was nice becuase she got to be here with her family to celebrate…Tinks and their lot came over and we had a delicious meal made by Jeanie who is an amazing cook!! It was a really fun night as Anna’s family reminds me so much of my own with so many funny embarassing stories and everyone laughing…Tomorrow we’re going to a bbq at Tinks house where Annas grandparents will pick us up and take us back to their house before we leave to go into London until we leave to go to Paris…Ill try and write more often as this is quite long and reading may get quite boring!! until next time much love peace and pura vida!!
