Caribbean Islands | Trinidad and Tobago – Edith Falls
This is actually an easy hike. The weather was good as the two things which make hiking in this country were not there ie 1 Mosquitos and 2 Hot sun. Normally you get at least one. Started off at 7:30am from Macaripe bay and took the old trail over to the golf course. You can begin from the golf course. This part is rated 2.3 km moderate. It has a bit of a climb at the start but then it is just ridge walking and some hair pin turns on descent. Cut across the golf course to the actual Edith falls trail which is 1.3km easy. The only bit to this trail is if it was rainy season and you have to navigate the slippery river bed. As we are in March it is dry season so just scamper over the boulders. But on the other side the actual fall is a lot less too. Not that I have been on this hike in the rainy season to compare.
